     A Spanish or Latin-American turnover with a sweet or savory filling.  From the Latin verb empanor, meaning to wrap in bread or dough.  All our empanadas are handmade in our kitchen.  We offer 9 different kinds, regular beef, spicy beef, regular chicken, jerk spiced chicken, spicy curry chicken, regular pork and a spicy pork (chorizo), a vegetarian empanada, filled with diced potatoes, green bell peppers, onions and mushrooms, and a new addition, seafood, which is filled with shrimp, scallops, cod, red bell pepper, green onions, cauliflower, feta cheese, and a dash of curry.

All of our stews are made right in our own kitchen and served over rice. We offer 6 different kinds.

Coconut and Citrus Chicken:
        Both start with white meat chicken with onions, garbanzo beans, carrots, and fried diced potatoes in a creamy sauce. The Citrus Chicken is flavored with lemon and orange juices, so it's a little sweet and a little tart, with a hint of clove in the background. The Coconut Chicken is sweetened with cream of coconut and spiced with curry. Sweet and spicy play off each other in this, one of our most popular dishes.  

Veggie Coconut Curry 
        Same as coconut chicken without the chicken.

Black Beans: 
  Black beans, onions, and diced tomatoes seasoned with cumin and garlic for a classic Cuban-style flavor. Available in both a vegetarian version as well as one seasoned with beef.

Jerk Chicken and Lentils:
        Dark meat chicken marinated in a blend of Caribbean and jerk spices, then grilled and added to a mixture of red and green bell pepper, celery, carrots, onions and lentils. This is our newest creation and has become a very popular addition to our menu of stews.

The Cubano:
     Our  version of the classic Cuban Sandwich features roast pork, swiss cheese, dill pickles, smoked ham and dijon mustard, all grilled in a panini press on buttery bread. This delicious sandwich was also just recently added, and has become a permanent part of our menu.
